On the charts June 5, 1982

40 years ago today, the Pac-Man Fever album was #45 (down 13) on Cash Box Top 200 Albums but maintained its peak position of #24 for a second week on Billboard Top LPs & Tape.

Meanwhile "Do the Donkey Kong" peaked at #103 (up 6) on Billboard Bubbling Under the Hot 100.


Yes, we've just started Donkey Kong Month and "Do the Donkey Kong" had already peaked. Didn't mean to psych you out. This was mostly based on how many weeks it will continue in the Bubbling Under chart.

Forty years ago today, "Pac-Man Fever" was played for the last time on American Top 40. It was a "Long Distance Dedication...
